- Optimize and maintain our Snowflake data warehouse to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Develop and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion (and DBT) for transformation workflows.
- Design and enforce robust data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with the current Data Engineer to manage data sources, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with the current Data Analytics Team to understand the data needs and help design data models.
- Document technical workflows, schemas, and processes to ensure team-wide transparency and knowledge sharing - improve data understanding.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to provide insights into business processes, and identify and fulfill the analytical needs of different organizational units.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other analytical tools.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Support ad hoc data requests and deliver insights that guide decision-making across departments.
- Degree in data or computer science, business, management, statistics, engineering, or another related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in Snowflake, Matillion.
- Experience with DBT (preferred) or a similar data transformation tool.
- Strong SQL skills are required, knowledge of other languages like Python is recommended.
- Strong acumen for understanding business and going beyond the obvious.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, including visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, take initiative.
- Proficiency in decision-making.
